#0 Orange and Apple

Apple and orange

This whole weekly sticker club idea came from the fact that i’ve been going to events to hand out stickers for free! But Sometimes its hard to ask people if they want one, especially because nowadays people will often think that you are trying to sell them something, which given, ive had my own fair share of encounters with persistent salespeople. thus the idea of the “Ask me for a free sticker” button was born. On me the button, and with me i had an envelope full of stickers featuring apple and orange cat, based on my own babies “Soup” (orange) and “Noodle” (apple)

I forgot to take off the button after i was done with the event, so when i was walking to the mrt with my friend i got stopped twice by strangers asking for a sticker, and I, of course happily comlpied. Those moments felt very magical to me, so i kept thinking about what would happen if I started doing this more regularly. Thus the idea of weekly sticker club was born.

As a sidenote, fruitcats is something ive been working on for a while now. I am studying as a concept artist right now, but i quite enjoy doing branding/packaging as a hobby, so ive done ocassional trial runs with orange cat especially. maybe sometimes in the future orange cat will become something more solid but for now he just remains a silly idea, and a free sticker. Regarding apple cat… the longer i sit on it the more tempted i am to make him lemon… I just feel like lemon suits noodle more, so maybe in the future ill make a free lemon cat sticker.
